VILAR

Questions & answers

What is VILAR?

VILAR is an app that provides resilient internet access through a protected connection. The key difference: behind its one button stand several independent routes, and the app itself picks the one that works.

How is VILAR different from an ordinary VPN?

An ordinary VPN connects you to a specific server, and when that server stops working, everything halts until you intervene. VILAR treats the connection as a path that can be rebuilt: the app continuously watches route health and switches to a working one automatically. On top of that, traffic to local services goes direct — banks and government sites never notice VILAR is on.

Which devices are supported?

Android ships first, followed by iPhone/iPad and Windows. The current status of every platform is on the Platforms page.

How many devices can I connect?

One subscription works on 2 devices at the same time — for example, your phone and your computer.

How does the free trial work?

After installation you get a full 24 hours of VILAR — free, with no card and no account. The trial ends exactly one day later and there are no auto-charges: if VILAR suits you, you subscribe yourself.

What is an access code and where do I enter it?

An access code is a key of the form VLR-XXXXX-XXXXX that adds subscription time to a device: codes are issued for promotions, by support, and for connecting a second device. Enter it in the app: on the first screen via “I have an access code”, later on the subscription screen under “Already have a subscription?”. Each code is accepted once per device and does not replace payment.

What happens when the subscription ends?

VILAR stops connecting and the app offers to renew. Nothing is lost: renew, and everything continues working as before.

Do I need to configure anything by hand?

No. VILAR needs no configuration files, no server lists, no protocol choices. Install the app and press one button — everything else is automatic.

What should I do if the connection is temporarily unavailable?

Sometimes the network around you changes more than usual — in those moments VILAR keeps probing paths and will connect as soon as it finds a working one. Switching networks helps: move from mobile data to Wi-Fi or back. If the connection stays down for long, contact support and we will look into it.

Do you log my traffic?

No. VILAR does not record the sites you visit, your DNS queries or the contents of your connections. The app contains no ads, analytics or trackers. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

How do I contact support?

Write to support@vilarvpn.com or to Telegram support @vilarsupport. The VILAR Telegram channel carries news and announcements; questions are not answered there.

Rolling out platform by platform

Android first, then iPhone, iPad and Windows. The publication date for each platform and the network status are announced in the official VILAR channel.
